Cosmos always the wrong colour (6 replies)
You need to get Cosmos Sulphureus if you want orange & yellows, they actually look like marigolds rather than Cosmos.
Hi Keyleigh Alice
Definitely try Cosmos Sulphureus. There are lots of different varieties, too - from yellow right through to reds. Lovely!

Hi Keyleigh Alice,
There is also a soft yellow in the classical C. bipinnatus, called 'Xanthos'. It is not as large flowered as the pink or white cut flower types, but still worth a try.
If you want all colours from yellow, orange to red, try the 'Ladybird' series of C. sulphureus!
I've had a look at those varieties and they're very pretty. I love the 'Xanthos'. Understated beauty!
🙂
I used the Cosmos suplhureus Brightness mixed, both years, this is why I am a bit confused. If it had been one year then I could understand the seeds couldve been wrong but both years? Why would this be?
Try a different seed supplier.
