Hi Guys

Had to share this with you, I finally got round to starting on my Garden now that the wedding is over! What do you think?? I've only started with the basics - Lilies, Fuchsias, Hydrangeas and Lavenders! I can actually feel my fingers starting to turn green, so proud of myself!

But now I'm stumped what to do next, the fence is in dire need of replacing so I can't hang baskets or have a trellis at the moment! I would love to have a real focal point for the garden like a tree/shrub and adore Magnolias but have heard that they can be quite temperamental, are there certain varieties of Magnolia which are easier to grow?

Thanks

Hi it is all starting to look lovely, watch out for lily beetle with those lily plants though, I am sorry I have no idea on the magnolia question, but what about an obelisk with a clematis growing up it, there are so many varieties of these that flower at different times of year.

Ooooo I love that Carol thank you!!!! What a great idea. I did get some bug spray and kept an eye out for lily beetle as had been warned previously but all my Lilies have now given up! Such a shame. But I'll keep an eye on them for next year!

I see T&M do an evergreen Clematis that looks awesome! Are they easy to look after??

Thanks

Yes Nat they are easy to look after, it depends on what time of year they bloom as to when you prune them, I am sure that there is advice on T&Ms web site on this one. I recently bought one from them that blooms though the winter months and then drops it leaves in late summer and is scented.

You could plant a summer flowering one and a winter flowering one on the same obelisk for double impact.

Hi Nat

The clematis I bought is called clematis napulensis this is the picture off T&M's web site, mine is still small and sulking a bit but its green and when the slugs leave it alone will be lovely.

Hi Guys

The fence is finally complete!!!! After a hard weeks work my Dad and Husband finally tore down our old fence and rebuild our new one - still have to have the gates fitted but looks amazing!

Got a lovely now Begonia for the Garden as well and a new addition to the Family (our kitten Norman) has given us his purr of approval 🙂

What do you guys think? Our grass is looking a little poor at the moment, do you think it will recover as we weren't too sure if we'd ruined it?

Thanks

Natalie.
