Hi, does anyone have any ideas or recipes for desserts using strawberries?

Thanks,

Holly

I guess it depends on how difficult you want to get.

Easy recipes could be something like Eton Mess, all you need is some double cream and meringue nests which you can break up. If you want to push the boat out then some ice cream too.

Otherwise you could try a strawberry roulade. Absolutely delicious in the summertime.

If you get lots of strawberries, they are great in smoothies!

I've just bought a food dehydrator in preparation for this years harvest. My brother has one and he dehydrates strawberries which then are used to top yogurts and breakfast cereals. The kids have them in their lunch boxes as healthy but sweet snacks too. I'll let you know how this works out but could be an idea for you for this year.

I also make strawberry and rhubarb jam with mine.

That's a really clever idea Ednaduck. Do the strawberries retain their flavour?
