Hello (2 replies)
Long time gardener but always keen to learn something new 🙂
I live way up in Moray so get very cold winters.
I'm more southerly here, how do you cope with protecting any of your "more fussy" plants up there, any hints or tips?
Old Gardeners never die, they just throw in the trowel
We do have to be particular up here, anything remotely tender has to be taken in, I usually do it at the 1st frost, anything in the ground gets a dollop of mulch over the crown, And I NEVER cut anything back until I see signs of new growth in spring.
I keep fussy plants in the polytunnel over winter, sitting on polystyrene sheet and well covered with fleece and/or newspaper. We can get frosts even in early June up here!
