Growing alstroemeria from seed (No replies)

Advice on pack of Thompson & Morgan alstroemeria seeds says to sew seeds and keep at prescribed temperature for 3 weeks, then in fridge for 3 weeks and then take from fridge and await germination. My question is, if seeds should begin to germinate in the initial 3 weeks prior to going into fridge, should they still go to the fridge or not? I'd like to hear some thoughts.
