The Polyanthussupplied as plug plants need to be Poted up and grown in bright, frost-free conditions, watering sparingly until they are fully rooted in. When they are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days, prior to planting out in their final positions in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade on any fertile, moist, well drained soil. Each Polyanthus has a mature spread of about 23cm (9”)so 42 plugs should easily cover an area of 2 square metres.
