You should put new ornamental grasses in your yard in the spring or early fall for the best results. If you plant them before the heat and often dry weather of summer, they should have enough time to get their roots established before they have to deal with more stressful circumstances.

When to transplant my ornemental grass?

I've grown my pennisetum 'tail feathers' from seed, after successful germination they all have 1 single shoot (2 inches tall) and I'm wondering when I should plant them on from my seed trays into 1 litre pots? Do I plant them on in a clump of a few seedlings? Any advice would be much appreciated. 🙂
