What to do with plug plants?

hi, I’m new to the forum and to gardening, I’ve just ordered some jumbo plugs to put in hanging baskets and I’m not sure wot to do with them after the flowers die back cos I was told they will come back next year? Would you keep them in the baskets or not? X
