To achieve this, it is recommended that you "surround the roots with a barrier to inhibit the plant's spread," which is stated on quordle the plant's packaging. Im a newbie gardener. What can I use as a barrier to prevent the plant from spreading further, and what can I use to control its growth? I would appreciate it if you could explain everything in basic terms.

Umbrella Bamboo 'Asian Wonder'

Good morning,

I want to grow the Umbrella Bamboo Asian Wonder up against the fence and restrict the roots from spreading. The advice on the blurb of the plant to do this is 'surround the roots with a barrier to restrict the plant’s spread'. Im a novice gardener. What do i use to restrict the plants spread, what do i use as a barrier? Simple language please, im new to this.

Thank you very much in advance

Rebecca
