New reply from Florexpert

Hi Hemeroholic,

They would probably be happier in the ground, with the tubers planted at 10-15 cm depth, in a shaded position. Roscoeas tend to resent full sun.

Cultivation in pots should not be a problem provided you give them some shade and some frost protection in winter.

Roscoea in pots ?

Is it possible to grow Roscoea in containers or do they need to be in the ground ?
