Choose a suitable container, select a container that is large enough to accommodate the root system of the magnolia sunrise and has drainage holes at the bottom. A container with a diameter of at least 16-20 inches (40-50 cm) is recommended. Prepare the container, fill the container with well-draining potting mix, leaving enough space for the root ball of the magnolia sunrise. Soak the bare root plant, before planting, soak the bare root magnolia sunrise in water for a couple of hours. This helps hydrate the roots and promote successful establishment. Position the magnolia sunrise, place the magnolia sunrise in the center of the container, spreading out the roots evenly. The crown (where the stems emerge from the roots) should be level with or slightly above the soil surface. Backfill with soil, gently backfill the container with the potting mix, ensuring that the roots are covered but the crown remains exposed. Lightly tamp the soil to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly, after planting, give the magnolia sunrise a thorough watering to settle the soil and promote root establishment. Make sure the water drains freely from the container. Provide appropriate care, place the container in a location that receives full to partial sun, depending on the specific requirements of the magnolia sunrise variety. Water the plant regularly, ensuring that the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize with a balanced slow-release fertilizer according to the package instructions. Monitor and maintain, regularly monitor the moisture levels of the soil and adjust watering accordingly. Prune any dead or damaged branches as needed, and provide support if necessary to help the magnolia sunrise maintain an upright form. MyAARPMedicare providers
